I’ve always viewed the world as a composition. My eyes see the possibility of color, shape, and texture. Making art in various forms has always been that avenue of expression. My years as an art educator have allowed me to share that love with children in the hopes that they may find art as a way to understand their world.

I have found that I love clay. I appreciate its organic form and the physicality of our relationship. Clay creates its boundaries through a playful nature. It is strong and bold and very sure of itself.

My approach to working with my clay pieces is very intuitive and spontaneous. I allow each and every piece to be inspired in the moment, with its individual design presenting itself in the process. My ceramic art pieces allow me to immerse myself in the moment of creating them and trust in the beauty of a perfect imperfection.

Each piece is bisque fired, an application of color with acrylic paint, securely mounted on wood with an application of a protective gloss finish.
